The Good News Band was founded over Twenty Five years ago as a ministry in music. The
goal remains the same , Ministering to God’s people with acoustic instruments. The Band
utilizes songs with a good, wholesome and positive message.
The Bands number one goal is to glorify God and to give him the credit for our talent. Since
the day we asked God to open the doors for our Band , we have never lacked for place to
play and sing. The Bands music consists of Blue Grass, Hymnals, Cowboy Songs, Fiddle
Tunes, Banjo Tunes.
The Good News Band has performed at many Churches, Opry’s, Festivals. The Band has
performed at Oakdale & Tres Rios Entertainment Parks in Glenrose , Texas, Venus Opry ,
Cleburne Opry, The S.W.B.C. Club in Grapevine Texas, The Gene Autry Memorial Festival in
Tioga Texas and Regularly at Six Flags over Texas in Arlington Texas and the NETMF in
Winnsboro Texas.
The Band consists of Will Thomason, Fiddle & Vocalist, Pat Thomason, Vocals, Kenny
Williams, Banjo and Vocals , Darrell Morris , Guitar & Vocals, and Jack Byrd Upright Bass.
